THE PLAYER
Derek Frank is one of the most in-demand bass players on the Los Angeles music scene today. He is currently serving as touring bass player with both Gwen Stefani & Shania Twain, and in past years he has found himself touring with artists/bands such as Shakira, Air Supply, Daniel Powter, Victoria Justice, Dancing With The Stars, Aly & AJ, Mindi Abair & The Boneshakers, Brian Auger's Oblivion Express, Jeff Golub, David Pack, and others. In the studio, he has recorded bass tracks for both independent and major-label artists/bands across a vast cross-section of musical genres... see his DISCOGRAPHY for a partial list. Prior to moving to Los Angeles, he studied music at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan, and at the University of Miami.
Currently Derek splits his time between touring and studio work, and frequently travels with a mobile recording rig so that he can maintain his ever-growing roster of studio clients.
Bass Tracks Online was created to offer songwriters, composers, producers, bands, engineers, and other music professionals a simple and affordable way to add solid, tasty, REAL bass tracks to their songs.

However, not everyone has the means to get the right bass parts on their projects. Prices vary from project to project, depending on what is needed. In most cases, once the initial contact form is filled out, we'll discuss via email or phone exactly what your needs are for the project in question. The ultimate goal here is your satisfaction — so, of course, pricing does include multiple takes, plus a couple revisions/ changes/ fixes within reason.
The process generally goes a lot smoother if you can be very specific about what you want (i.e. "I want this to be really simple", "Put a few fills in on this section", "Think James Jamerson on this one", etc.). But please do keep in mind, this is an experienced professional bass player you're hiring, with solid musical instincts.
